A very important aspect of my course of studies was usercentered design.
This project was a cooperation with some fellow students and the local community of Weingarten.
We wanted to create a platform for digital communication amongst the citizens.
With this website, citizens should be able to participate
in decisions affecting their town. For this we wanted
to create a clear design and an obvious interface for interaction.
For a consistant design, we created a styleguide,
which sums up already existing elements and colors of
the main website of the local community of Weingarten.
Since we wanted to motivate people to participate and be interested in local decisions,
the main focus of my work was finding a way
to make the website appealing to a lot of people.
This is why I put elements of gamification
and microinteractions in the design.
